Ignorance Of Scripture Is Ignorance Of Christ I have been observing lately that people desire miracles and help from Our Lord. I believe that reverent prayer, fasting, and patience is the key. Many people I know only use God when situations get bad. They take Him off the shelf, dust Him off, and use Him until; they are done, and afterwards stick Him back on the shelf until they need Him again. How would we feel if God put us upon a shelf until He felt it was felt necessary to take us down? Our love is like the structure make up of our hearts. Our left ventricle is connected to the right atrium and right ventricle and the left atrium. They need each other to function properly and work together. They need each other to survive just like we need God to help us to survive our everyday trials and tribulations. Maybe and just maybe He will pay us back in what we deserve. This week it is about putting away childish things. It says in the bible that "you are an adult ONLY when you put away childish antics." That means as we get older we grow out of things to break into our own people, and to break childish habits like playing with Barbies and action figures, video gaming, bickering about little things, etc. I'm not saying it is easy, but there is a lot of thought processing involved. As an adult you can't be doing things that you did as a teenager like having high school "flings", fighting, and not having goals for yourself. I can't say a lot about adulthood, but I can say as a teenager my teen journey will be slowly coming to a close soon, and I have to know what I want in life and experience all that it offers. You can always go back in time and relive some of your younger days to keep yourself useful! |
